Cathy Bartelmo-Moran- Mrs. Bartelmo-Moran has been the Owner/Director of the Chester Valley Dance Academy, LLC for the past sixteen years. She continued her education in Canada at Le Ballet Jazz Co., National Tap Co., and at the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet. Mrs. Bartelmo-Moran has also danced professionally with Opus I Contemporary Company, Philadelphia, Three Little Bakers Dinner Theatre, DE and held the position of Executive Director of Contempra Dance Theater. Her students have been accepted to such prestigious schools as the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts, Pennsylvania Ballet, Allentown Dance Conservatory, Houston Ballet, and the Governor School for the Arts. Mrs. Bartelmo-Moran has choreographed productions such as the Nutcracker, Cinderella, Aladdin and King and I. |

Sophia Castaldi- Ms. Castaldi studied under Suzanne Farrell at the Kennedy Center, Patricia McBride at Chautauqua, and attended The School of American Ballet in New York. Ms. Castaldi, a 1998 National Foundation for Advancement of the Arts Level II recipient, was also School of American Ballet's 1998 Princess Grace nominee. She Danced with The Miami City Ballet from 1998-2002 and most recently danced with the Pennsylvania Ballet in The Nutcracker. |

Pam Devenney- Mrs. Devenney
has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance
and Dance Education from Towson University. She
has been teaching dance in the Public school
system and private dance studios for the past
fourteen years. Mrs. Devenney received the "1999 Dance Education Teacher of the Year" award from the Maryland division of AHPERD.
She currently holds her Pennsylvania State
Certification in Dance Education. While teaching
dance courses at Immaculata University, she
developed and directed the annual Chester
County Dance Festival. Currently, Mrs. Devenney
directs the Dance Education Program at the
Academy of Notre Dame, a private girls school
(grades 6-12), in Villanova. |

Beth DeVito-Luton-A native of
West Chester Pennsylvania, Miss Beth
started dancing at the age of 4 at the
West Chester Performing Arts Center
under the direction of Maryanne
Jacobsen. There she studied all genres
of dance including Classical Ballet (Vagonava
Method) Jazz, Modern and Tap. During her
training Miss Beth had the wonderful
opportunity to study under some greats
like, Myra Bazell, Paul Klocke, Scott
Jovovich, Gail Oldfield and many others.
She went on to study with the Rock
School of Philadelphia and was asked to
join their summer intensive programs.
Beth also went on to study with Boston
Ballet summer intensive programs. At the
age of 17 Beth successfully auditioned
at the Colorado Ballet and was accepted
as a Corps member. After completing
several years of dancing professionally,
Miss Beth went on to further her dance
education and received an Associates
Degree in Fine Arts from the University
of the Arts in Philadelphia. While
attending the University Beth was able
to study under an d perform works from
renowned artists Roni Koresh, Barbara
Sandanato, Lavaughn Robinson and many
others. Beth has been teaching in both
Chester and Delaware counties for over
10 years and has made this her career.
When she is not teaching she
enjoys
spending time with her husband and young
son.

Brittany
Flaherty -
Brittany Flaherty began her training at Chester
Valley Dance Academy. She continued her dance
education at the Houston Ballet Academy, Indiana
University, and Temple University. She has
recently graduated with a degree in Strategic
and Organizational Communications and a minor in
Business from Temple University. This year will
be Ms. Flaherty’s third year as a member of
Opus1 Contemporary Dance Company.

Ann Fonash- Ms. Fonash continued her study of dance at Kutztown University, University of the Arts, and University of Southern Florida. She has performed professionally with ContempraDance Modern Company and has been teaching dance in Delaware and Chester County areas for the past 11 years. Ms. Fonash is currently the Director/Owner of Petite Performers Dance Program. |

Andreas Johnson- Dre Andreas has been dancing professionally for five years, working for professional dance groups such as New York Entertainment and Versatile Dance Group before joining Clyde Evan's Chosen Dance Company. Andreas has appeared on BET, the Apollo, and as a back-up dancer for recognized recording artists 50 Cent, Wayne Wonder, Amerie, The Diplomats, 3LW, Philly's Most Wanted and No Questions. In addition to television appearances, Andreas hassle performed in over a hundred shows nationwide. A highly touted performing artist, Andreas shares his dance knowledge with us at C.V.D.A. and teaches in the Philadelphia area dance schools. |

Corinne Karon- Ms. Karon received her BFA from the University of the Arts, trained in Ireland-Irish Step, and held residency at the Beijing Dance Academy in Beijing, China where she taught tap. She is the Assistant Artistic Director of Tap Team Two and Co. in Philadelphia and has performed throughout the USA and abroad. |

Christine Swarm-Kusnierczyk- Mrs. Swarm-Kusnierczyk attended the West Chester University as a Physical Fitness Major and University of the Arts. She was the dance Program Coordinator for Body Quest for 7 years. She has performed professionally with Barley Sheaf Playhouse, Forge Theatre, and WCOJ Cable. |

Marla Maes- Ms. Maes started her training at the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet where she studied the Vaganova syllabus under John White and Margarita de Saa. She continued her training through summer programs at the Joffrey Ballet. She has performed professionally with the Sarasota Ballet, Opus 1 Contemporary, Atlanta Ballet, and since 1995 as a guest with the Pennsylvania Ballet. |

Kimberly Martin- Ms. Martin studied dance at the San Francisco Ballet School and the Chicago Ballet. She has danced with the Ballet Theatre of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Wake Forest University. Ms. Martin is currently the director of an outreach dance program at the Grand School of Dance, Delaware. |
